安宁，美国宾夕法尼亚州立大学计算机科学与工程专业博士、 美国电气电子工程师学会（IEEE）高级会员。现任合肥工业大学“黄山学者”特聘教授（博士导师）。在此之前，安宁博士在美国甲骨文(Oracle) 公司工作十年。安宁博士主要研究兴趣包括空间数据管理、移动健康、Web服务、普适计算、传感器应用和公共危机信息管理。目前已在国际知名学术会议（包括国际三大数据库会议之一的VLDB和IEEE-ICDE；国际三大数据挖掘会议之一的IEEE-ICDM;及著名的WWW会议）和国际一流的数据库/数据挖掘期刊VLDBJ和IEEE-TKDE上发表论文19篇、申请美国专利三项（其中一项已授予），同时作为主要参与者承担国内两项科研项目。其曾撰写一本英文学术专著和一篇英文学术专著章节，并参与翻译Oracle技术专著一部。
