Report Abstract:

This forum specially invites Academician Jiangxing Wu, a top expert in the field of network communication and information security of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, to deliver a report entitled Endogenous Security Issues of Trustworthy AI Systems. Academician Wu will focus on the endogenous security risks of AI systems, analyze the current challenges of large models in data privacy, adversarial attacks, robustness and other aspects, share the construction ideas and technical paths of trustworthy AI systems, and provide cutting-edge solutions for the safe application of large models.

Speaker Profile:

Jiangxing Wu, male, Han nationality, Member of the Communist Party of China, born on September 12, 1953 in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. He is a leading figure in the development of China's network and communication technology, an internationally renowned network switching expert and a promoter of the leapfrog development of China's communication high-tech industry, an expert in communication and information systems, computer and network technology, and an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

He is currently the Director and Ph.D. Supervisor of the National Digital Switching System Engineering & Technological R&D Center (NDSC). He has successively served as the Deputy Leader of the Expert Group of the National 863 Program Communication Technology Theme during the Ninth and Tenth Five-Year Plans, the Deputy Leader of the Expert Group of the Information Field of the National 863 Program during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, the Director of the Demonstration Committee of the National Major Special Project for Mobile Communications (the 3rd Special Project), the Director and Chief Engineer of the Expert Committee of the National Next Generation Broadcasting and Television Network (NGB), and the First Deputy Leader of the National Tri-networks Integration Expert Group. Since 2016, he has served as the Deputy Leader of the Expert Group for Compiling the Overall Plan of the National Major Science and Technology Special Project Engineering - Space-Ground Integrated Network during the 13th Five-Year Plan. From 1997 to 2009, he served as the Chinese Representative responsible for technical affairs of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC).

He has won 3 First Prizes, 5 Second Prizes and 1 Third Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and has been awarded honors such as National Expert with Outstanding Contributions, National Excellent Science and Technology Worker, Ho Leung Ho Lee Science and Technology Progress Award, Ho Leung Ho Lee Science and Technology Achievement Award, Advanced Worker with Outstanding Contributions to the National 863 Program, and Contributor with Outstanding Contributions to the National Science and Technology Research Program. For his long-term contributions in the field of information communication and network switching, he was awarded the National Science and Technology Progress Award - Innovation Team Award in 2015.
