Report Abstract:
In recent years, deep graph learning networks, such as graph neural networks and graph attention networks, have been extensively studied and achieved impressive performance on various learning tasks, including semi-supervised learning, bioinformatics recognition and visual information processing. To enhance the robustness and compactness of graph representations, deep graph sparse learning has been intensively investigated and applied to many pattern recognition problems. In this report, I will first introduce recent deep graph sparse learning network models. Then, combined with recent research results of our group, I will present several applications of deep graph sparse neural networks in computer vision and robust pattern recognition tasks.

Bo Jiang is a Professor and PhD Supervisor at Anhui University, Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology, Director of the Anhui Computer Society, and Deputy Director of the Anhui Key Laboratory of Multimodal Cognitive Computing. His research focuses on structural pattern recognition, computer vision and medical image analysis. He leads the Outstanding Youth Talent Project of Anhui Province and received the Young Scientist Award of the Anhui Computer Society. He has published more than 80 papers in international journals and conferences including CAS Zone 1, IEEE Transactions and CCF-A venues, among which 8 are in IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (TPAMI) and 3 in International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV) as first/corresponding author. He was listed in the 2025 World’s Top 2% Scientists by Annual Impact. He has been principal investigator of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (General Program) and Anhui Provincial Key R&D Program. He received the ACM Hefei Chapter Rising Star Award, First Prize of Natural Science of Anhui Computer Society, and Excellent Young Postgraduate Supervisor of Anhui Province.
