From October 31 to November 2, the 59th Track and Field Sports Meeting of Hefei University of Technology was grandly held in the West Playground of Tunxilu Campus. The athletes of our school united as one, strived for excellence and performed outstandingly in the sports meeting, winning the third place in the total team score of Student Group A, the second place in the women's team score of Student Group A and the sixth place in the men's team score of Student Group A.

At the opening ceremony of the sports meeting, the representative phalanx of the school students lined up neatly and in high spirits. Under the guidance of loud passwords, 56 students made neat and uniform movements, spelling out the words "80", "HUT" and "China" in turn, showing a united and progressive spiritual outlook. On the sports field, the athletes strived hard and good news came one after another. In the sprint race, as soon as the starting gun fired, the contestants rushed out of the starting line quickly and sprinted to the finish line with all their strength amid the cheers of the whole audience. In the long-distance running events, the athletes allocated their physical strength reasonably and insisted on finishing the whole course even if their breathing became heavy and their steps were heavy, interpreting the sports spirit of never giving up with practical actions. On the high jump field, the contestants continuously challenged new heights through orderly run-up and powerful take-off. The long jump area witnessed powerful take-offs and landings time and again, showing the power of youth.

The sports spirit of "surpassing oneself and never giving up" demonstrated by the athletes in this sports meeting will continue to inspire all students of the school to forge ahead on the road ahead and write more wonderful chapters with a high-spirited attitude.
