Recently, the 19th "Challenge Cup" National School Students' Extracurricular Academic and Technological Works Competition came to a successful conclusion at Nanjing University. With the theme of "Youth Stands Firm for the Chinese Path to Modernization", this competition attracted more than 3 million students from over 2,700 universities across the country to participate with more than 400,000 works, setting a record high in the scale of the competition and the intensity of competition.
The student team of our school won the first prize in the "Artificial Intelligence +" special competition with the project Eyes to Distinguish True from False - A Full-modal AIGC Forgery Identification System for Social Scenarios. Aiming at the threats posed by multi-modal forged content to personal rights and interests, social trust and public security in the AI era, the project built a full-chain AIGC forgery identification solution with multi-modal detection, full-platform coverage and real-time analysis capabilities, which can accurately identify AI forged content in a variety of high-risk social scenarios.
The project was completed by a student team composed of 10 students including Jiang Kaichao, Zhu Jie and Dong Honglin under the guidance of teachers Diao Yunfeng, Wang Meng and Liu A jian. During the project promotion, team members published 6 top international papers as the first undergraduate authors, applied for 3 national invention patents, undertook three scientific research projects such as the national school students' innovative entrepreneurship training program (key fields), won 6 national awards and more than 10 provincial awards, and have settled in a provincial entrepreneurial base to promote the transformation of achievements.
As an important platform for cultivating school students' innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities, the "Challenge Cup" competition has effectively stimulated the enthusiasm of students of our school to engage in scientific research and serve the society. This award fully demonstrates the remarkable achievements of our school in the cultivation of top innovative talents and the practical teaching of interdisciplinary subjects. The school will continue to support students to participate in high-level academic and technological competitions, encourage them to apply innovative achievements to industrial practice, and contribute youth power to the development of key national fields.
