To All Relevant Departments:

In order to enhance the atmosphere of technological innovation activities on campus, promote the development of programming projects among our university students, and provide a practical platform for students to understand and participate in university-level programming competitions, the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education, School of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence College), and Software College will jointly organize the "Hefei University of Technology 20th Programming Contest and the Selection Competition for the 2024 Anhui Province Robotics Competition—Programming Category" for all students. The relevant details of the competition are as follows:

I. Eligibility:

Full-time undergraduate students enrolled at our Hefei campus who entered in 2022 and 2023.

II. Competition Format:

Individual participation, computer-based operation. The competition includes 5-7 programming problems, and contestants will be ranked comprehensively based on the number of the issues solved, the time taken to solve them, and penalties for wrong submissions within 3 hours. The programming language used is C/C++.

III. Competition Procedure and Timetable:

Registration period: From now until April 15, 2024

Registration method: Join the group with your student ID-name-college-major.

Competition date: Scheduled for April 20, 2024 (Saturday) from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.

Competition venue: This will be announced in the 2024 University Competition QQ group; only student ID cards are allowed during the competition.

Registration fee: There is no charge for participating students in this competition.

IV. Notes:

Due to limitations in computer lab seating capacity, the number of competition slots is limited (no more than 90 participants). Therefore, students interested in participating should register early. The list of participants will be notified in the QQ group before the competition.

V. Awards:

This competition will have several first, second, and third prizes, with a specific number of awards depending on the number of participants at the live event. The proportions will be at most 10% for first prize, at most 20% for second prize, and at most 30% for third prize. Outstanding participants will have the opportunity to participate in the "2024 Anhui Province University Student Robotics Competition—Programming Contest" and subsequent training activities.
