On May 24, 2025, the "Kunpeng Ascend Developer Conference 2025 · Hefei and Chaohu Mingyue Computing Power Cluster Campus Tour", co-sponsored by Hefei University of Technology, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and Hefei Big Data Asset Operation Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the School of Computer Science and Information Engineering of Hefei University of Technology and Hefei Ascend Artificial Intelligence Ecological Innovation Center, was successfully held at the Feicuihu Campus of Hefei University of Technology. Focusing on the development trend and ecological innovation of artificial intelligence, the activity promoted the cultivation of artificial intelligence talents and the development of regional intelligent computing industry through themed speeches, technical case sharing and competition launching sessions.

With the vigorous development of the Ascend industrial ecology, more than 400,000 young talents mastering Ascend technology have been trained nationwide, among which 50,000 core developers have made breakthrough progress in the field of computing power tapping and technological innovation. Xia Na, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office of Hefei University of Technology, said in her speech that the university is building an AI talent training system of two-way empowerment of "disciplines + industries" by deepening the integration of industry and education, encouraging students to seize the opportunities of the Ascend ecology and consolidate their technical practical ability.

As a key artificial intelligence computing power infrastructure constructed by Hefei City, the "Chaohu Mingyue New Generation Computing Power Cluster" has attracted much attention. Wang Guyue, Deputy Director of the Project Management Center of Hefei Big Data Asset Operation Co., Ltd., introduced that the cluster covers computing power nodes such as Hefei Artificial Intelligence Computing Center, "FeiXing-1" and "FeiXing-2", and has served the fields of scientific research and innovation, industrial development, people's livelihood and government affairs, providing underlying computing power support for key regional industries.

Ascend AI technical experts demonstrated typical application cases such as medical image analysis, energy pipeline inspection and industrial quality inspection built based on Ascend on site. They also shared debugging tools and practical skills for performance optimization and compatibility problems in model deployment. In addition, the Ascend AI Innovation Competition was officially launched at the conference to accelerate technology transformation through competition-driven innovation.

This activity has provided a valuable window for students of Hefei University of Technology to deeply understand Ascend AI technology, and greatly stimulated their innovative thinking and practical ability. In the future, universities and enterprises will continue to deepen cooperation and carry out exploration around talent training, technological R&D and ecological co-construction.
