From July 5 to 6, 2025, the final of the 27th China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition (Anhui Division) and the 6th Anhui Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition was successfully held at the Feicuihu Campus of Hefei University of Technology. Professor Piao Songhao, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition, Professor Zhong Qiubo, Chief Referee of the China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition, Wang Guocheng, Deputy Director of the Equipment Industry Department of Anhui Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Wang Min, Deputy Director, Sun Dandan, Minister of the Robot Business Department of the International Advanced Technology Application Promotion Center (Hefei), Professor Wu Gongqing, Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science and Information Engineering of Hefei University of Technology, Professor Wang Hao of Hefei University of Technology, the leader of the expert group of the Anhui Division Organizing Committee, and other distinguished guests, as well as 430 teams and 1,288 participating players from 38 universities across the province gathered on the scene and launched a fierce competition in the Anhui provincial final of each event of robot and artificial intelligence.

As a top domestic science and technology competition platform, the China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition aims to gather industry elites, stimulate innovation vitality and promote the rapid development of robot and artificial intelligence technologies. The Anhui Division has set up a provincial division for 6 consecutive years, attracting the enthusiastic participation of teachers and students from universities in the province, and building a platform for technical competition and academic exchange for young students.

The competition was addressed by Professor Piao Songhao, Chairman of the China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition, and Vice Dean Wu Gongqing of the School of Computer Science and Information Engineering of Hefei University of Technology successively. Vice Dean Wu Gongqing introduced the development history and construction achievements of the disciplines of the school, welcomed teachers and students from universities across the country to gather in Hefei University of Technology to participate in the competition, and he emphasized that the China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition is a competition with a long history and extensive influence, and looked forward to working with teachers and students from various universities to collide ideas and explore robot and artificial intelligence related technologies.

Centering on the industry-university-research application of robot and artificial intelligence technologies, the competition set up a total of 4 categories of events: innovation, competition, challenge and application. It called on education and industry experts to carefully study and demonstrate each sub-event, closely following the current technological frontier.

This competition is not only a comprehensive test of the professional skills and innovative ability of the participants, but also a concentrated display of the level of teaching scientific and technological innovation and the achievements of talent training. The university will continue to be committed to the research and practice of artificial intelligence technology, and strive to cultivate compound talents who are "practical, innovative and cooperative".
