To enliven extracurricular technological and cultural activities among university students, foster a conducive atmosphere for technological innovation and entrepreneurship on campus, further enhance the design capabilities of our university students in networking and distributed systems, promote the cultivation of innovation, entrepreneurship awareness, and teamwork spirit, and provide a practical platform for students to understand and participate in the Anhui Province Network and Distributed System Innovation Design Competition, the Undergraduate School Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Office, and the School of Computer and Information Science (Artificial Intelligence College) will organize the "2024 Anhui Province Network and Distributed System Innovation Design Competition Creative Contest School-level Selection Competition" for all university students. The relevant details of the competition are at this moment notified as follows:
I. Competition Content
The creative contest comprises two themes: Network System and Security Design and Application and Distributed System Design and Application.
Theme 1: Network System and Security Design and Application. This theme primarily assesses participants' creative design based on their understanding of the theme and mastery of network knowledge. Content includes network design, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting, network security scheme design, network applications, etc. The competition will comprehensively evaluate the innovation, scientific nature, and practical value of the network system and security design of the entries.
Theme 2: Distributed System Design and Application. This theme comprehensively evaluates the distributed system design works' innovation, scientific nature, and practical value. Content includes cloud computing systems, distributed storage, distributed computing, etc.
II. Competition Format
Teams will compete, with each team comprising at most 3 members and at most 2 faculty advisors. Each faculty member may serve as the first or second advisor for a maximum of 2 teams, at most 4 teams in total. Each student can only participate in one team.
Students interested in participating in this competition should join the competition QQ group 901754283 and submit the following materials according to the regulations by 12:00 PM on April 2, 2024, to the email hfut_dsnet@163.com (compressed file naming format: work name_hfut2024). Internal experts will evaluate entries based on the registration situation, and the best entries will be selected to participate in the provincial-level competition.

Note: All entries are products designed and developed independently by the participants (or under the guidance of teachers) and must be accompanied by an integrity commitment declaration. The provincial organizing committee is not responsible for verifying the ownership of the entries. If Suppose plagiarism, infringement, provision of false materials, or violations of relevant laws and regulations are determined by the arbitration group. In that case, the entry will be disqualified, and the participant will bear all legal responsibilities.
Entries that have participated in provincial-level or higher-level discipline competitions in previous years are not allowed to participate. Each worker can only participate in one discipline competition in the same year. Compared to previously awarded works, works with a high degree of replication will not be awarded. The guiding teachers should strictly enforce these requirements. If the above situations occur, the provincial organizing committee will report to the participating schools, hold responsible parties accountable, cancel competition results, and request the Department of Education to revoke previously awarded items.
The provincial organizing committee requires that the report abstract of the creative contest, work report, presentation materials, defense PPT, videos, and images not contain any information regarding participating schools, students, or faculty advisors. Otherwise, it will be considered cheating, and the judges will directly disqualify the entry.
