The 2024 Anhui Province Robotics Competition Digital Media Innovation Design Competition Plan will take place in late May. According to the requirements of the competition organizing committee, each school needs to recommend participating teams. Therefore, a campus selection competition will be held. The competition content and process are as follows:
I. Competition Content
This competition is divided into Work Competition (Category A) and Skills Competition (Category B), open to undergraduate and graduate students in the same track competition.
Work Competition (Category A) Requirements
Category A collects digital media works, which will undergo online evaluation and defense. The works include categories of digital media development applications and digital media design applications. Each participating team consists of 3 members and can only submit 1 entry. Each entry can only belong to one Category. The theme of the works is limited to "intangible cultural heritage," with the target objects located within Anhui Province. The technical theme of the works is limited to "Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC)." The works must include an AIGC component in the process or the works themselves must be an AIGC technological innovation, detailed in the entry form, which will be one of the evaluation criteria.
Digital Media Development Application includes Interactive media software works, including but not limited to applications for smart terminals (phones, tablets, various types of glasses, and other embedded systems), WeChat applications, desktop applications, and HTML5 websites. It is required that the acquisition of media materials contributes to AIGC output, or the works themselves are AIGC tools and can produce effective results for this competition theme.
Digital Media Design Application includes Non-interactive media design works, including but not limited to 2D/3D static designs (posters, picture books, cultural and creative products, etc.), 2D/3D digital animations, and special effects videos (excluding purely filmed and edited videos). It is required that the acquisition of media materials contributes to AIGC output, but AIGC output cannot be used entirely or directly for participating in the competition.

Skills Competition (Category B) Requirements
Category B involves on-site tasks completed within the specified time through on-site competitions. Focused on virtual reality applications, participants will use 3D modeling software and virtual reality creation engines for work development, covering tasks such as scene construction, AI content generation, special effects production, animation production, and interaction design. Each participating team consists of 2 members, who must bring two laptops, install designated software in advance, complete the competition tasks within 4 hours, and present the design effects to the experts. Sample questions will be released at the end of March.
Task 1: "Model Making." Based on the model's three provided in the task book, analyze its modeling characteristics, use 3ds Max/Maya/Blender software for modeling, UV splitting, and texture production, and finally complete the model's required representation and effects as per the task book.
Task 2: "VR Work Development." Based on the content description in the task book, under the given scenario and project framework, use Unity/IdeaVR/UE engine software to implement scene supplementation, special effects production, animation production, and interaction design in VR works, ultimately meeting the functional requirements specified in the task book.
II. Competition Process
Before April 28, Category A submissions included registration forms and introduction videos (not exceeding 50M in size), while Category B submissions included registration forms, all sent to the event assistant's Email: 997675792@qq.com. Category A works will undergo expert evaluation on April 29-30, awarding first, second, and third prizes for the campus competition, with at most 60% of teams receiving awards, and the recommended results will be announced. After on-site inspections of Category B, it be is recommended to that teams participate in the provincial competition qualification round.
