To All Colleges, Relevant Units, and Students:
The "Anhui Province Robotics Competition - Microcontroller and Embedded Systems Track" is a Category B competition organized by the Anhui Provincial Department of Education, aimed at university students in Anhui Province. Its purpose is to motivate students to learn microprocessor technology and embedded systems, enhance their comprehensive ability to solve practical problems using microprocessor technology, encourage active participation in extracurricular scientific activities, broaden their knowledge, foster creativity and teamwork, and promote the reform of university teaching systems, content, and methods in microprocessor and embedded systems. To actively advance the standardized and orderly development of the "Second Classroom," the university has decided to host the 2025 Hefei University of Technology Microcontroller and Embedded Systems Competition, which will also serve as the internal selection round for the 2025 "Anhui Province Robotics Competition - Microcontroller and Embedded Systems Track."
I. Competition Organization
The Microcontroller and Embedded Systems Application Skills Competition is managed under the unified leadership of the Academic Affairs Office. A competition organizing committee has been established to oversee the organization, question design, evaluation, and promotion of the competition.
II. Competition Time and Format
Registration Method:
Hefei Campus: Join QQ group 962619232 and fill out the online form.
Xuancheng Campus: Join QQ group 544264910 and fill out the online form.
Competition Time: Tentatively scheduled for April 19, 2025 (Saturday), from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Team Formation: Undergraduate students may voluntarily form teams of two. Graduate students are not allowed to participate.
Equipment and Materials: The necessary instruments, components, or other materials will, in principle, be provided by the participating teams' respective colleges.
III. Competition Awards
The competition will award first, second, and third prizes.
The total number of awards and their distribution will be as follows: 60% of the total number of participants will receive awards, with 10% receiving first prize, 20% second prize, and 30% third prize.
The university competition organizing committee will be responsible for the evaluation. After the evaluation, outstanding teams will be selected to represent our university in the 2025 Anhui Province Robotics Competition - Microcontroller and Embedded Systems Track, without the need for additional selection processes.
IV. Competition Categories
The minimum system boards are divided into four platforms: A, B, C, and E.
Platform A: Uses an 8-bit microcontroller as the processor.
Platform B: Uses a 32-bit microcontroller as the processor.
Platform C: Uses an FPGA chip as the processor in an embedded platform.
Platform E: Based on Xilinx's Artix-7 FPGA development board or the virtualized FPGA platform provided by "educoder."
The functional modules consist of input and output devices, including keyboards, sensor modules (digital or analog signals), LEDs, LCDs, digital or analog input/output signal control units, motor drives, and other application modules.
Students are required to complete hardware setup and software coding based on the tasks. The use of development board routines is not allowed (special device drivers will be provided in the competition questions), aiming to cultivate students' independent development capabilities.
Platforms A, B, C, and E must be brought by the participating teams, and the tasks must be completed through on-site programming and circuit connections. Questions will be released on-site, completed on-site, and evaluated on-site. Participants may bring paper reference materials such as books and manuals but are not allowed to bring USB drives, mobile phones, smart devices, or electronic documents.
V. Competition Process
Teams must sit at designated positions and operate designated computers.
During the competition, team members must complete hardware connections and software programming and debugging based on the questions. They are not allowed to communicate with anyone other than the designated technical committee staff, who can only answer questions related to the platform system.
The competition duration is 4 hours, with a 15-minute warning before the end. At the end of the competition, computers will be shut down, and participants must stop working. All team members must leave the competition area and wait in a designated area for evaluation.
Teams may submit their work after 1 hour of competition, notify the staff, record the completion time, sign, and then leave the competition area.
Any behavior that hinders the normal progress of the competition, such as unauthorized movement of equipment, unauthorized modification of competition software or hardware, or interference with other participants, will result in disqualification.
Important Note: Participants may only bring paper reference materials such as books and manuals. USB drives, software, mobile phones, smart devices, and electronic documents are strictly prohibited. Violators will be disqualified.
