The Academic Affairs Office of the university released the Public Announcement of the Pre-approved Project List of the 2025 School Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program on April 7. In accordance with the unified arrangement of the university, an official project approval defense will be organized for the pre-approved projects to determine the recommended national-level projects (key support and general), recommended provincial-level projects and university-level projects. To ensure the smooth and orderly development of this work in the school, the relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
1. Types of Projects Participating in the Defense
Among the pre-approved school students' innovation and entrepreneurship projects, only those intended to apply for national and provincial levels are required to participate in the on-site defense. Projects that fail to participate in the on-site defense will be approved as university-level projects by default.
2. Evaluation Requirements
To improve the quality of projects, in principle, the project leaders and team members of national and provincial-level projects should have a good foundation in preliminary work, including experience in completing school students' innovation and entrepreneurship projects related to the currently declared research topics, especially achievements such as publishing or being accepted high-level academic papers, applying for or being authorized software copyrights and invention patents, and winning provincial or higher awards in high-level discipline competitions through relevant school students' innovation and entrepreneurship projects. In the meantime, they have successfully registered for the 2025 China International School Students' Innovation Competition. Additionally, the currently declared research topics have made certain progress since the pre-approval.
3. Application Schedule
For teams intending to apply for national and provincial-level projects, the project leaders shall fill in the defense application online before June 6 (the link to the online document will be released in the school's QQ group for school students' innovation and entrepreneurship project exchange), and select the intended application level. At the same time, they shall submit a project progress report (see Appendix 2 of the university's notice for details), including the project progress, phased achievements, work plan, etc. Supervisors shall review the project progress materials.
The school plans to organize experts to conduct defense evaluation for national and provincial-level projects on June 11 (the specific defense time and venue will be notified separately), and make recommendations according to the ranking of defense results and the quota allocated by the university. After the review and public announcement by the university, an official document will be issued for project approval.
In principle, projects shall not be terminated after approval, otherwise the project members will be disqualified from future applications. In principle, the supervisors, project leaders, team members and their ranking shall not be changed; if the change is indeed necessary, it shall comply with the relevant provisions of the Measures for the Administration of the School Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program of Hefei University of Technology.
