The Digital Media Innovation and Design Track of the Anhui Provincial Robot Competition, initiated and organized by the Anhui Provincial Computer Teaching Steering Committee, has been held for 8 years and consists of school competition and provincial competition. With the theme of "Digital Exploration of Anhui · Creating a Beautiful Anhui" this year, the competition focuses on Anhui's cultural relics and historic sites, intangible cultural heritage, famous people, and scenic spots. It requires the application of digital human technology to the processing, creation, programming and system development of various media contents, taking culture + technology as the guide, integrating ideological and political education into the expansion of media technology, and strengthening the talent training process in the field of digital media industry.
The school competition closed in April this year, and the offline school selection review meeting was held on the morning of April 30. Hosted by Teacher Li Lin from the School of Computer Science and Information Engineering, the review meeting invited three teachers from the Technical Committee as judges, including Teacher Wang Guangjun from Anqing Normal University, Teacher Huang Meijuan from Anhui Business School, and Teacher Fan Guofeng from Anhui Vocational and Technical School of Press and Publication. The competition set up Category A Works Competition (digital media development and application works, digital media design and application works) and Category B Skills Competition. Students from 7 units including the School of Computer Science and Information Engineering, School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Software, School of Economics, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Microelectronics, and School of Electrical Engineering and Automation signed up for the competition, receiving a total of 14 registration forms, including 11 works for the Works Competition that participated in the offline review. In the end, 6 students including Yao Yichen (2 teams) won the first prize, 6 students including Xu Bolin (2 teams) won the second prize, and 5 students including Li Yingjie (2 teams) won the third prize.
This school selection competition is a procedural work required by the Digital Media Innovation and Design Track of the Anhui Provincial Robot Competition. The review team selected 10 teams to enter the provincial competition in accordance with the competition's quota system, among which 5 teams participated in the national finals at Huainan Normal University on May 24. In the end, our university achieved excellent results of 3 first prizes, 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes in the provincial competition. The Anhui Provincial Department of Education has recently issued a notice on the results. It is hoped that teachers and students of our university will continue to actively participate in this competition, give play to our university's advantages and maintain good results.
