To enhance the atmosphere of scientific and technological innovation activities on campus, promote the level of information security knowledge of school students in our university, cultivate their innovative ability, team spirit and the style of integrating theory with practice, and at the same time provide a practical platform for students to understand and participate in the information security competition (work competition), the Academic Affairs Office and the School of Computer Science and Information Engineering will hold the "2025 University Information Security Competition (Work Competition)" for all students of the university. The relevant matters of the competition are hereby notified as follows:

1. Scope of Participating Students

Full-time undergraduate students in school of our university.

2. Competition Content

The competition content mainly focuses on the design of information security technology and application, including but not limited to the following: cryptographic algorithms, security chips, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, network security, data security, e-commerce and e-government system security, VPN, computer virus protection, etc. Competition topics are self-designed by students according to the competition content. They should generally be appropriately simplified practical problems in engineering technology, considering the basic content of current teaching and the frontier of the discipline, focusing on assessing students' ability to comprehensively apply basic knowledge for engineering design, as well as their innovative spirit and team cooperation ability. Only defensive topics are accepted in the competition, and any topics with aggressive nature or in violation of national relevant laws and regulations are not accepted. If the topics and content declared by the participating teams violate the competition spirit and regulations, the expert group has the right to require the participating teams to make revisions, which can only participate in the competition after being approved.

Participating works shall be original works independently designed and developed by the participating team members, and plagiarism and piracy are strictly prohibited. Any plagiarism or piracy found will result in the disqualification of the participating team and hold the relevant supervisors and students responsible. The intellectual property rights of the works of each participating team belong to the participating team, and any organization or individual is strictly prohibited from infringing their intellectual property rights. Participating works shall not be just design proposals, but must be complete software and hardware works.

4. Competition Procedure and Time Arrangement

Registration Time: From now until 12:00 p.m. on June 25, 2025.

Competition Time: 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025.

Evaluation Form: The university will organize experts to evaluate the works shortlisted for the final, and the specific matters will be notified separately.

Competition Venue: To be notified separately.

Registration Fee: No registration fee will be charged to participating students for this competition.

5. Notes

Participating teams are required to submit the required materials on time. Please pay attention to the notice in the group for the success of registration.

6. Awards

A number of first, second and third prizes will be set up in this competition. The specific number of awards will be determined according to the final number of participants and the quality of works, with the reference ratios of 15%, 25% and 40% respectively. Excellent contestants will receive key tutoring to participate in the Anhui Provincial School Students' Information Security Competition (Work Competition) and the National School Students' Information Security Competition (Work Competition).
