To widely publicize network security knowledge, improve students' awareness and skills of network security protection, and drive their enthusiasm for learning network and information security knowledge, the 2025 University Information Security CTF Competition is specially held. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. Competition Background

CTF (Capture The Flag) is generally translated as flag-grabbing competition in the field of network security, referring to a form of technical competition between network security technicians, aiming to popularize network information security knowledge and guide information security enthusiasts to get started. Originated from the 1996 DEFCON Global Hacker Conference, CTF replaced the previous way for hackers to conduct technical competition by launching real attacks on each other. Up to now, it has become a popular competition form in the global network security circle, and more than 50 international CTF events were held worldwide in 2013. Now, by holding the on-campus CTF competition, we aim to improve students' professional skills, cultivate high-quality skilled and applied talents meeting social needs, enhance their employment competitiveness, and make contributions to cultivating high-quality professional talents in information security confrontation.

5. Competition Content

The competition content includes Web penetration, reverse engineering, cryptography, PWN, MISC, etc., involving various knowledge points and technologies such as information security foundation, network protocols, operating system security, cryptography and information encryption, firewall and intrusion detection, IP security and web security, as well as all fields of information security such as information discovery, reverse engineering, cryptography, Web vulnerabilities, binary overflow, forensics, SQL, scripting languages, assembly, script injection, deception and cross-site, image steganography, etc.

13:00-17:00 on June 21, 2025

7. Registration Method

Join the QQ group with the information of Student ID-Name-Major and Class (real-name authentication required): 462444729.

8. Competition Method

Participate individually, and contestants can answer questions by themselves within the specified competition time.

9. Award Setting

A number of first, second and third prizes will be set up in the competition. The specific number of awards will be determined according to the final number of participants. The organizing committee will issue certificates and prizes to the winning contestants. Excellent contestants will receive key tutoring and be recommended to participate in the Anhui Provincial School Students' Information Security Competition and the National School Students' Information Security Competition.

10. Notes

（1）Exchanging competition questions answers and problem-solving ideas is prohibited during the competition.

（2）Attacking the competition platform is not allowed during the competition. Any violation found will result in disqualification.

（3）The right to interpret this competition belongs to the competition organizing committee. For unforeseen matters, further notice will be given!
